The Seoul Samsung Thunders basketball team announced on the 20th that it has recruited Kofi Coburn (center) as a new foreign player for the 23-24 season. After graduating from the University of Illinois, Kofi Coburn played an active part in the 22-23 season for Nigita Albirex in the Japanese B League.

Coburn's under-the-goal play based on his overwhelming size (210cm, 130kg) and power is impressive, and he is expected to help his teammates smoothly attack through his excellent screen ability.

With Coburn's joining, Seoul Samsung is expected to add stability to the bottom of the goal and improve offensive power through synergy through a 2:2 attack with a veteran guard.

Coburn plans to undergo a medical test after arriving in Korea in early September.
